This app is incredibly versatile and can be used for a vast array of purposes in the classroom. Explain Everything is basically a mini interactive whiteboard on which you can insert images, text, pictures, video and more. One of the best features of this app is that you can record your voice and move different elements on the screen at the same time. For this reason, this app can be used by students for a variety of purposes. Make talking books by inserting photos of the book and record your voice over them. Explain to a friend how to complete a type of operation in Maths by carrying out the calculation on the screen and record yourself as your work through the process. This app could also be used for project work in S.E.S.E.

This app is excellent for creating animations and can be used across a range of subjects. Children can choose from a range of themes, characters and objects to create their story. They can then structure their story by including the setup, conflict, challenge, climax and resolution. Children can move the characters on screen and record their voices. They can then add theme music which will set the mood for each scene. This app could be used for retelling stories, creating stories, exploring themes in S.E.S.E. and much more. Thematic and seasonal backgrounds, characters and images are available also which can be used around Halloween, Christmas etc.

Bee-bot

Description:
This is a lovely app which children can use to develop their directional language, particularly left and right and forwards and backwards. Children must programme the Bee-bot to move along a path in order to get to the flower. There are 12 levels which get progressively more difficult. As well as this, there are now 3 brand new levels where the Bee-bot must collect eggs from chickens on the farm. Bee-bots themselves are a great tool to have in the classroom and can be used with customisable floor mats to develop children's mapping and directional skills also. The skills developed within this app also form the basis for coding skills. Bee-bots are particularly useful for Junior Infants to 2nd Class.
