![]() The Digital Learning Framework is being introduced to primary and post primary schools in the academic year 2018-2019. It seeks to embed digital technologies in teaching, learning and assessment. The Digital Learning Framework comes from the Digital Strategy for Schools 2015-2020 which aims to ensure that we:
“Realise the potential of digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning and assessment so that Ireland’s young people become engaged thinkers, active learners, knowledge constructors and global citizens to participate fully in society and the economy.” (Digital Strategy for Schools p5). Circular 18/2019- Relating to funding and Digital Learning Planning.
DL Planning website-PDST website with information and resources relating to the Digital Learning Framework including Good Practice Videos. Digital Learning Framework-Schools are advised to choose one standard and statement from the framework which will form the basis for their Digital Learning Plan. The plan should be reviewed at least annually in line with Circular 18/2019 which also states that schools are expected to draw up a Digital Learning Plan. Choose one standard and one statement from the DLF to focus on in your plan.
