This app allows children to learn key Aimsir vocabulary by creating a weather map of Ireland. Children drag and drop weather icons onto the map and can hear the correct pronunciation of the words. Children could create a weather map and screen shot it and add it to the Show Me app. They could then record themselves reading a weather forecast.

This is an Irish-English dictionary that could be used in the classroom or as a homework helper. Simply type in the word that you would like to translate and the app will search through its bank of over 13000 words. The paid version of the app costs €3 and allows you to hear how the word is pronounced.

Briathra na Gaeilge

Description:
This is a very useful app which uses characters to represent verbs that are Caol, Leathan and Neamhrialta. There are a number of ways that the app can be used including an A-U list of verbs which you can click to conjugate into different tenses. There is also a search function where you can search as Gaeilge or in English for a particular verb. As well as this, there is a Cleachtadh function which allows you to try three different games based on verbs although some of these would be more suitable for advanced users.
